What is Spray metalizing?
Spray metalizing is a general name given to a thermalspray coating process that is used for coating metal on surfaces. The metallic coatings can be used for protective, decorative, or functional purposes. Spray metalizing and hot-dip galvanizing are both zinc-based coatings that protect the steel substrate by physical barrier and cathodic protection. However, these two coatings are significantly different. Hot-dip galvanizing is a total immersion process, where the steel element is dipped into a bath of molten zinc, while spray metalizing is a process that uses an oxy-fuel flame to melt wires.
